CCB DIFC practicing ESG Strategy

Guided by the Group’s strategy, CCB DIFC implemented the idea of ESG into its key business highly in line with UAE’s green development strategy. CCB DIFC focuses on the local renewable and sustainable industries, successfully listed Green Bonds in Nasdaq Dubai both in 2020 and 2021, which received a warm feedback from the market.

CCB DIFC enthusiastically participates into social responsibility initiatives and provides contributions to local community. Throughout years, CCB DIFC took part into a wide variety of local charity campaigns and social events in favor of livelihood, such as masks donation to local government and agencies during COVID-19 pandemic, fund donation to local school, and into campaigns of "10 million meals", "tallest donation box", "Safe Water Aid", free meals to vulnerable groups, etc.

Meanwhile CCB DIFC conducted on-going environmental initiatives in the office to achieve goals of lower consumption for power, utilities and supplies, and placed recycling stations for used items. CCB DIFC also emphasized on strengthening the ESG awareness of its employees through training on CCB University and branch itself, embedding the idea of ‘peak carbon dioxide emission, carbon neutrality’ into employees’ mind.

CCB DIFC strictly adheres to local laws and regulations, places the livelihood of human beings as priority, taking all kinds of measures to ensure employees’ physical and mental health, as well as their legitimate rights during work, though challenged with the pandemic.
